The Yakima Pickleball Club was formed to promote pickleball in our community, while sharing their love of the game and to organize playing opportunities, learning opportunities and to have a place where people can just show up and play. Meet your instructor! Danielle Polage lives in Yakima. She is a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) certified instructor who plays competitive pickleball at the Sr. Pro Level. She regularly competes in high level tournaments and has won many medals at the 5.0 and Open Division. She is sponsored by Selkirk, one of the largest pickleball paddle companies in the world, locally based in Hayden Lake, Idaho. She is a university professor at CWU and loves teaching. She is fun and passionate about sharing her love of pickleball with the Yakima Valley.

Beginner Pickleball Strokes – This class is for those new to pickleball or for those who want to continue working on pickleball basics. You will learn the rules and strokes necessary to play a full game by the end of the course. Pickleball has been likened to chess on a court and you will discover why! No paddle needed.
Fee: $75/$60 resident discount

Advanced Beginner Pickleball – This class is for those who have taken Beginner Pickleball or who already know the basics of the game. It will focus on getting to the kitchen line, dinking, hitting 3rd shot drops, volleys, serving/receiving, and beginning strategy. This course will prepare you for solid rec play.

Intermediate Pickleball Strategies – This class is intended for students who can sustain rallies and consistently get to the kitchen line. It will focus on shot improvement, shot selection, backhand, introduction to advanced shots (roll volleys, erne’s, etc.), strategy partner communication, and tournament preparation. This class will help take your game to the next level.
