Irene Raptcheff is our May Volunteer of the Month. Irene is originally from Fleissen Kreis Eger, Sudetenland. She moved to Yakima, WA in 1965. She met her husband in Yakima. She has two sons. She was homemaker for many years. She started volunteering at the Harman Center in 1990 when the Center was downtown on 4th Street. In 1995, she started working for the City of Yakima as the Harman Center Trips & Tours Coordinator. She continued working for the Center until she retired in 2015. She began being part of Yakima Valley Senior Citizens, Inc. after she retired and began coordinating the Seniors, Inc. Casino Trips as well as became the Secretary for the incorporation. She continues to coordinate the Seniors, Inc. Trips today as well as being one of the trustees on the board. She is loyal, friendly, and happy go lucky. Her interests include travelling, crocheting, and coloring. Come down to the Harman Center to meet Irene, as well as some of our other Volunteer All-Stars.
